Privacy & visibility

What can parents see with DNS filtering?

DNS filtering offers a useful middle ground between having no visibility and monitoring everything a child does. Understanding its boundaries helps parents interpret activity fairly.

Useful context parents receive

  • The website or service domain appearing on a device
  • The device and timing associated with the activity
  • Whether protection allowed or blocked the request
  • Meaningful changes across completed periods

Privacy the product preserves

Easy Family Filter does not read private messages, AI conversations, posts, or content inside apps. That boundary is intentional: the product gives parents a timely reason to engage while leaving room for children to explain their own experience.

How to use an insight well

Treat an insight as the beginning of a question. When a service appears more often or a pattern meaningfully changes, review the available context and invite your child into the conversation. The goal is informed parenting—not automatic judgment.
