Review before reacting
Look at the device, timing, filtering outcome, and any uncertainty shown with the insight. A blocked domain proves that protection responded to a request; it does not prove who initiated it or why.
Begin with curiosity
- “I noticed this service showing up recently. What do you use it for?”
- “Is there anything about this app that feels confusing or uncomfortable?”
- “What do your friends like about it?”
- “Would it help to look at the privacy or safety settings together?”
Match the response to the evidence
A single ambiguous signal may need no action. A repeated, well-supported change may justify a conversation. An obvious protection outcome may justify reviewing family boundaries. The goal is a proportionate response—not automatic punishment.
